Robyn Rihanna Fenty, often referred to as Rihanna by the Barbadians is an artist and singer. Her hits include Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella, and Take a Bow. She's a hugely popular artist who has sold more than 41 million albums around the world as well as more than 150 million tracks. Born in Barbados, she was able to love reggae and started singing as a child. Because of the chaos that surrounded her family and the fights her parents had with each other, she turned to music. Then she realized that she would like to pursue a career as a singer. While in high school she formed an ensemble and was a part of the auditions to be a part of Evan Rodgers. Evan Rodgers was amazed by her talents. He requested for the teenager to be relocated to New York and pursue a performing career that was full-time. Rihanna jumped at the chance to take it. Rihanna's debut album was shortly launched and Rihanna became a musical sensation within a short time. her sultry foot-tapping tracks were the most popular with young people, causing Rihanna to make films as well. The young and gifted Rihanna is widely regarded as both a teen-idol and a fashion idol. Rihanna put her celebrity to great use through being engaged in a variety of charity causes.
