LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American professional basketball player that is a player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. James is known for his role as King James and is considered to be among the most successful basketball players in history. James has won two Olympic gold medals as well as four NBA titles. James has the highest points during playoffs and has the second most career points and has the seventh most assists in his career. Alongside being an NBA All-Star, James was chosen for his NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. He has competed in ten NBA Finals the third most ever, including eight times in a row between the years of 2011 and 2018. James was selected to his place on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player who has accumulated 10,000 or more points in rebounds, assists, and points throughout his career. He will be the first to do so in 2022. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School within his home town in Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media as a potential NBA star. In preparation for his professional career it was his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the first pick overall during the NBA draft of 2003. When he was named the 2004 NBA Rookie Of The Year, he soon established himself as a premier player within the NBA receiving the NBA's MVP Award both in 2009 and 2010. James was a free agency in 2010 after failing to earn championships in Cleveland. He made the decision to leave Cleveland in order to join Miami Heat, announced on the show on television The Decision, is considered one of the controversial free-agent decisions in the history of sports.
