Amy Smart, an American model and actress. Growing up and being raised in California, USA, she made her debut in modeling in Italy. Her first acting role came in 1996, when she appeared in 'Her Costly Affair,' which was a TV film. The actress struggled to secure a role as a star in Starship Troopers, despite having appeared in numerous movies. Amy struggled to make the shift from modeling to acting because models were generally not considered to be good actors. They would often be given small and unimportant parts. However, Amy decided to stay the course and transitioned to bigger parts eventually. This began with a series called 'The 70's" and the film 'Varsity Blues'. In 2005, she took her role as lead actress in the romantic comedy 'Just friends'. Ryan Reynolds also made an appearance. Amy became famous by the industry for her performance throughout the past decade. She continued to do important films like the "Crank" series with Jason Statham and the series "Shameless", in which she played a well loved frequent character.
